We’re RNIB Northern Ireland, a leading sight loss charity and largest community of blind and sighted people.

We recognise everyone’s unique experience of sight loss and offer help and support for blind and partially sighted people and their families – this can be anything from practical advice, emotional support, campaigning for change, reading services and the products we offer on online.

Support at the point of diagnosis is provided by RNIB’s Eye Care Liaison Officers (ECLOs) across all Health Trust areas.  They offer emotional and practical support for people with sight loss, their families and carers, and they can also refer into our counselling and peer support services.

RNIB Connect is a large diverse community led by blind and partially sighted people who share information, have fun and drive change.

Sight Loss Advice Service provides information on eye conditions, advice on sight loss registration, welfare rights, housing, education and employment.

Reading services, RNIB’s Library offers newspapers, magazines and books in Braille, large print and audio.

Independent living products help people with sight loss to live independently and enjoy everyday activities. Products are available here: www.shop.rnib.org.uk or by calling our Helpline.

Technology Services can help people with sight loss get online, use smartphones, laptops and e-readers. We also offer means tested grants to purchase technology.

Children, Young People and Families service provides specialist services for blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families.
