Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke has been caring and supporting people of all ages across Northern Ireland since 1946. 75 years later we are still here leading the fight against chest, heart and stroke conditions, side by side with the people of Northern Ireland.

We offer a wide range of professional support services for people at risk of and living with chest, heart and stroke conditions, along with their family and carers.

We understand the huge impact that living with a chest, heart or stroke illness can have on you and your loved ones. We also know that people are being diagnosed with these conditions every day and that they need our support.

Prevention

As part of our ongoing commitment to preventing chest, heart and stroke conditions, we offer services to workplaces, communities and schools to help detect early signs of chest, heart and stroke illness and empower individuals to make healthy choices. www.nichs.org.uk/prevention

Research

We are committed to funding research into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care of chest, heart and stroke illnesses in Northern Ireland’s hospitals and universities which will benefit the people of Northern Ireland. https://nichs.org.uk/research-policy/research

We campaign and lobby local representatives and Government to introduce health policies and changes in legislation that will lead to improvements in the care and treatment of chest, heart and stroke illnesses, and in the health and wellbeing of the people Northern Ireland.
